Vallon d'Ohain

Brussels, Uccle

In the residential area of Uccle, extensive renovation of a brick house.
The existing house was completely redesigned. From the load-bearing structure, we built the house's foundations using an underpinning technique, to the new roof frame design, complemented by the addition of dormer windows. The design of the new facades prioritized the entry of natural light into the living spaces through the enlargement of the windows.

The new roof design has given the attic rooms height and a unique character. This extensive renovation has enabled the building's ecological transition through the installation of roof insulation, double glazing and thermally broken window frames, and a rainwater harvesting tank connected to the downpipes of the new roof.
The furniture was designed and custom-made according to the tastes and needs of the clients.
