In the Flamingo district of Schaerbeck, we carried out the restructuring of a townhouse.

 

The typology of this house is the one that

characterizes the streets of Brussels: a house

with double joint ownership, developing at the

vertical. The idea of this project born from the desire to fully involve the inner courtyard of the

house with the living area of the ground floor.

For this reason we have ensured continuity 

of the floor covering and fitted out the space

outside like an outdoor living room. 

This renovation was also an opportunity for

improve the thermal comfort of the house par 

the installation of underfloor heating which allows

the latter to heat up without dispersion due to

chimney effect. We provided a heat pump, in order to make much easier to maintain the primary energy consumption.
